UAE Tour's Brutal New Climb: Jebel Mobrah | Cycling Challenge (2026)

Get ready for a heart-stopping, bone-rattling climb that will leave riders gasping for air! The UAE Tour is about to introduce a monster summit finish that will shake things up and challenge even the toughest competitors.

Jebel Mobrah, a brutal 14.9km ascent with an average gradient of 12%, is set to become the talk of the cycling world. Located on the border of Ras al Khaimah and Fujairah, this climb promises to be a game-changer.

Starting from Umm al Quwain, the race covers a relatively straightforward 168km, but the real challenge awaits at the lower slopes of stage 3. Riders will encounter a 7.6% gradient for four kilometers, a warm-up of sorts before the final 7km climb that averages a punishing 12% gradient.

"It's going to be a crazy hard climb, no doubt about it," says Gee-West. "The gaps will be massive, and it's hard to predict how riders will approach such a unique challenge. But on paper, it looks like a climb that could decide the entire race."

And here's where it gets controversial... Will this climb favor the seasoned climbers or will it be a test of endurance for all? Will we see new strategies and tactics emerge?
