Motorola's Big Announcement: Razr Fold, Edge 70 Fusion, and Moto Buds 2 Series (2026)

Motorola Delivers Big With RAZR Fold, Edge 70 Fusion, and New Buds at MWC Barcelona

At Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Motorola kicked off the show with a bold lineup that centers on flexibility, durability, and audio excellence. The big headline is the long-awaited Razr Fold, Motorola’s first book-style foldable smartphone teased earlier at CES. Alongside it, Motorola unveiled the Edge 70 Fusion and the latest Moto Buds 2 and Buds 2 Plus, rounding out a versatile release set.

Razr Fold: a book-style foldable with dual displays
The Razr Fold features a 6.6-inch external display that flips open to reveal a larger 8.1-inch internal LTPO display with 2K resolution. This setup supports an adaptive UI that works seamlessly with the included Moto Pen Ultra stylus for navigation, note-taking, sketching, and quick app switching.

Under the hood, you’ll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. A sizable 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery powers the device, with support for 80W Turbopower charging to top up quickly.

Camera system and color options
Photography capabilities include a 20MP front-facing camera on the outside and a 32MP selfie camera on the inside for video calls and selfies. On the main camera side, there’s a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, a Sony LYTIA main camera, and a 50MP ultrawide with macro capabilities for close-up shots.

The Razr Fold will be offered in Lily White and Blackened Blue. Local availability in Australia hadn’t been confirmed at the time of the reveal, though Motorola Australia indicated that local availability would be announced soon, so some patience may be required.

Edge 70 Fusion: elegance meets rugged durability
For those not chasing foldables, Motorola showcased the Edge 70 Fusion. Motorola describes it as a blend of elegance, comfort, and durability, built to withstand real-world use while looking premium.

Key specs include IP69 and IP68 protection alongside MIL-STD-810H certification, plus Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Its display is a 6.8-inch Extreme 1.5K Super HD AMOLED panel, available in a selection of Pantone colorways that aim to look striking in any setting.

Power and imaging on the Edge 70 Fusion
Powering the Fusion is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Mobile platform, paired with a 5200mAh battery rated to last up to 39 hours. Fast charging is supported at 68W to get you back on the move quickly.

The imaging setup includes a triple rear camera system: a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 13MP ultrawide/macro combination, and a 32MP selfie camera embedded in the display for crisp front shots.

Moto Buds 2 and Buds 2 Plus: smarter audio with options for everyone
Motorola also announced the Moto Buds 2, designed for younger, entry-level users. They offer Active Noise Cancellation up to 55dB, up to 11 hours of playback with a total of 48 hours including the charging case. They rely on dual 11mm dynamic drivers and 6mm micro planar magnetic drivers to deliver hi-res audio.

The Moto Buds 2 Plus step up the audio game with Sound by Bose technology, delivering deeper, more nuanced sound. They use 11mm drivers and six onboard microphones for Dynamic ANC to better reduce ambient noise. Battery life extends to up to 9 hours of playback and 40 hours with the case.

A standout feature on the Buds 2 Plus is Audio Share, which lets you connect two pairs of Buds to the same device so you and a friend can listen to music, watch a movie, or share a podcast together.

What to watch for next
Motorola hinted that local launch specifics for Australia will be announced as they become available, so keep an eye on official updates for pricing and release dates.
