Eagles: Jeff Stoutland Will Forever Hold a Special Place in Our Hearts - NBC Sports
In a heartfelt announcement on Wednesday, longtime offensive line coach for the Eagles, Jeff Stoutland, revealed his decision to step away from his role with the team. This news prompted a statement from the Eagles organization that expressed their gratitude and admiration for Stoutland’s remarkable tenure.
The statement commenced by acknowledging Stoutland's "legendary contributions" to the franchise, emphasizing how challenging it is to imagine any other coach who has dedicated themselves both personally and professionally to their players as much as he has throughout his career.
“Our organization is profoundly thankful for Stoutland’s impact over the past 13 seasons,” the team remarked. “Not only did he play a pivotal role in guiding us to three Super Bowl appearances and clinching two World Championships for Philadelphia, but he has also been a staunch advocate in our community, generously donating his time and effort to initiatives like the Eagles Autism Foundation and various charitable endeavors our team supports. Although he won't be on the sidelines during game days anymore, he will always remain a cherished member of the Eagles family. The imprint he has left on both this franchise and our community is beyond measure, and it is safe to say he will always be welcomed in the City of Brotherly Love.”
The Eagles highlighted that under Stoutland's leadership, at least one offensive lineman was selected for the Pro Bowl during each of his 13 seasons with the team, with five players earning a total of 15 All-Pro selections.
